There was a tree on the highway this morning. It's not unusual to see trees being transported, but usually they are leafless or bound up in netting and on top of a car or in a truck. This one was a substantial sapling, 10 or 12 feet, in full leaf, sitting in a pot on a tiny trailer. It was surreal coming over a hill and seeing it sailing above the cars.

Perhaps it was being transplanted from downtown San Mateo.
Was the driver a dimunitive woman of 79?

It was a big white SUV, which doesn't seem a likely vehicle for a diminutive 79 year old, but you never know!
