Went over to Stately Wayne Manor for Muppet-viewing tonight. Hadn't originally intended to, but once I got in my car to pick up In 'n' Out I felt an irresistable urge to get out of the house and away from the computer. After struggling to get the correct order at In 'n' Out (normally a bastion of intelligence among fast food places due to them paying people a living wage), I picked up cyranocyrano and Muppetted. And had these thoughts:

1) It's disturbing the number of guest stars from the Muppets that are now dead. We saw four episodes, and Peter Sellars and Gilda Radner are deceased and Dudley Moore is very ill.

2) Sometimes I'm very slow. It wasn't until tonight that I realized that the Muppet Show was not just a parody of variety shows, but specifically a parody of the english music hall show. Only took me what, 20 years?

Re: Testimonial
Okay, I guess I got a bad batch. Only a third of them are dead, and a lot of those are old enough that it would be expected. It was still depressing!
