tick tock
My attempt to resync my sleeping schedule is not working very well right now, due to non-sleepiness. Tommorrow I shall get up at 8:30 and resist all nappitude.

Found while exploring the Eclogues, an eerie account of the mythology of the desperate.

How did you manage to find this? It's scary, weird, sad, hopeful, interesting, depressing and just plain eerie.

Re: Facinating
I had actually seen it a couple of years before, as a link off an Elian story in the same paper, so when I saw the mention while wandering the web I recognized it instantly and was glad to find it again. It's haunting.

Re: Facinating
I've only watched the TV show Dark Angel twice, and now I discover that the only bit that I really liked from those two episodes was lifted almost directly from this article. Good thing I didn't start watching the show just on the strength of that.

(If you're curious as to what it was: Max is remembering her childhood as an experimental subject; she and the other children were treated brutally and weren't exposed to any normal human culture, but one of them had found a small paper icon of the Virgin Mary, and the kids called her The Blue Lady and made up all these stories about how she loved them and wanted to help them.)
