pondering piracy
So, if one was interested in downloading music and video, where would one go now that Morpheus is screwed and Kazaa is full of spyware? People keep recommending Otis Taylor to me and I want to check him out.

Morpheus is screwed?

Well, it stopped working for a while, and I've heard the new version is spyware. Maybe I'm wrong.

Audiogalaxy (www.audiogalaxy.com) has numerous of his songs from his first two albums (I highly recommend "Cold at Midnight" and "9th Cavalry Blues"). Nothing yet from the third, Respect the Dead, which I got tired of waiting for and went out and bought.

Thanks! I'll check it out.

Audiogalaxy has spyware, too, I believe. But there's a version of Kazaa out there, called Kazaa Lite, that someone modified to get rid of all the spyware and advertisements. I use that, and it's worked really well for me, so far. You can get information and download it from this site.

It does, though it seems to have a wider range of songs. Kazaalite not so many songs, but videos, which I'm having fun with. And they have some songs that have been copyright busted out of existence on audiogalaxy. Thanks for the pointer!
